Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs)

We purpose with one voice to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 15:6). We acknowledge that Christ is the center of all knowledge, and we approach every academic area in the light of scripture (II Timothy 3:15-17).

Academic AchievementWe seek to develop students who:

  • understand, analyze and apply God’s Word.
  • have mastered the essential concepts of each required subject area.
  • are academically, emotionally and spiritually prepared to advance to each new grade level.
  • are prepared for the academic rigors of college upon satisfactory completion of the ACA graduation requirements.
  • learn to integrate a Christian worldview into each subject area through discernment and critical thinking.
  • communicate effectively in speech, listening, reading comprehension and writing skills.
  • have mastered the basic mechanics critical to the successful writing of essays, position papers, term papers and other required writings.
  • understand the importance of both adapting to and utilizing technology effectively.
  • value the creative self expression of the arts through appreciation and participation.
  • learn to solve problems both independently and cooperatively in a group setting.
  • demonstrate how God’s Word is applied in every academic discipline and area of life

Christian Character - We seek to develop students who:

  • have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
  • desire to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the study and application of God’s Word.
  • understand the importance of prayer in their pursuit of holiness.
  • display the Christian characteristics of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
  • lead lives reflective of the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
  • discover the source of wisdom, understand the value of wisdom and apply the benefits of wisdom. (Proverbs 1-4)
  • make a conscious daily decision to remove anything that supports evil desires by relying upon the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • not only listen to God’s Word, but do what it says. (James 1)
  • stand firm in their faith in the midst of an increasingly secular world.

Active Application - We seek to develop students who:

  • understand the purpose of discipleship. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
  • support others through love and prayer.
  • search for ways to live in peace with others.
  • build others up according to their spiritual, emotional and physical needs.
  • utilize their God-given abilities in serving home, church, school, local and global communities.
  • esteem the needs of others higher than their own.
  • demonstrate and maintain a lifestyle of health and fitness.
